During my time as Senior Designer at BRIGADE, I oversaw the design and pre-production of a massive multi-city out-of-home and print campaign for SVEDKA Vodka (art direction by Asher Hung). The campaign included billboards, wild postings, bus sides, bus shelters, taxi toppers, and a large-scale subway domination.
SVEDKA’s ultra-controversial futuristic fembot breaks the fourth wall…a striking figure against an unapologetically neon palette.
SVEDKA throws convention (and subtlety) out of the window, employing attention-getting headlines like “Voted #1 Vodka of 2033.”
The campaign draws it’s inspiration from screenprinting and collage: multi-layered imagery, off-centered elements, and shockingly bright hues.
The campaign was initially inspired by Warhol’s “Famous for 15 Minutes” concept and attempts to capitalize on society’s obsession with social media.
The campaign was plastered throughout various U.S. cities, including NYC, Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles.
SVEDKA’s fun, flirty and unapologetic style has made it the fastest growing vodka in the U.S.
The SVEDKA fembot was the original creation of Stan Winston studios, and remained a controversial figure until she was phased out in 2015.
